Celebrating Volunteer Excellence in Service and Community

Posted on

It is with great pleasure that we celebrate the outstanding contributions of two remarkable volunteers within our organization. City of North Vancouver Mayor Linda Buchanan presented the award for Excellence in Service to Ghazal Sadr and the award for Excellence in Community to Nubia Souza Budau at our Annual General Meeting. We recognize Ghazal and Nubia for their dedication and commitment to our mission and values and passion for making a positive impact.

Ghazal, recipient of the Excellence in Service award, has consistently gone above and beyond in her commitment to service, dedicating over 100 hours. She has volunteered with many programs and services including Settlement, Employment, Youth programs, and Language Services. Her willingness to lend a helping hand has made a significant difference in the lives of many.

Nubia, recipient of the Excellence in Community award, has been a volunteer with Impact North Shore for over 2 years. She is an active member of our Immigration Advisory Council, contributing countless hours of leadership and dedication. Her efforts to promote diversity, inclusion, and equity, both at Impact North Shore and in other community projects, have created a more welcoming environment for everyone.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our volunteers for their dedication to improving the lives of im/migrants on the North Shore.
