Fostering Inclusion with the Racial Equity Project

Posted on

The Racial Equity Project engages communities, and key partners across the Arts & Culture, Social Services, and Healthcare sectors to create more equitable access to services and institutions for racialized and Indigenous people.  We are inviting newcomers and BIPOC communities to participate in sector-specific focus groups to provide input into the development of anti-racist strategies and resources, helping create more inclusion across the North Shore.

You can support racial equity on the North Shore by participating in the upcoming focus group for the Social Services sector on December 11.

In this session, we will explore:

  • Barriers racialized newcomers experience when attempting to access institutions and services in the Social services sector.
  • Identify what commitments and approaches institutions need to put in place to ensure greater access and inclusion for racialized communities.
  • Contribute to the development of anti-racist resources to foster greater community connection and belonging.
