As of the latest update from Environment and Climate Change Canada, a Special Weather Statement is in effect for high temperatures. While not yet at heat warning levels, community response and awareness are encouraged due to the increased risk of heat-related illness, especially early in the season.

  • Seniors (60+)
  • People living alone or with limited mobility
  • Individuals with pre-existing medical or mental health conditions
  • Infants and young children
  • People who are pregnant
  • People experiencing homelessness or marginal housing
  • People working in hot environments
  • People using substances or on certain medications
