Information session for parents with children in school in North and West Vancouver
Join us for a workshop hosted by Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS) designed for newcomer parents and guardians.
In this workshop, you will learn about:
- Preparing for school opening
- West and North Vancouver school districts
- Structure, calendars, timetables, and communication methods
- Required forms, consent forms, and school notices
- Differences between elementary and secondary education
- Parent involvement, code of conduct, and student supports
- SWIS services, ELL support, graduation pathways, and follow-up workshops/services
