Building equitable communities is a shared responsibility. Equity is not the work of one sector or organization, it takes all of us coming together with intention, courage, and collaboration. At Impact North Shore, we are honoured to uphold others who are leading this work forward.
Each year, the North Vancouver Chamber hosts the Business Excellence Awards to recognize local organizations that demonstrate leadership, vision, and a deep commitment to community. As the sponsor of the Excellence in Equity category, Impact North Shore is proud to celebrate businesses that embed equity into the core of their work.
The Excellence in Equity award highlights a business that exemplifies leadership and commitment to equitable practices and initiatives, whether in service delivery, workplace culture, or community engagement. This award honours those who are making a real difference for equity-deserving groups, including BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+ people, those with diverse abilities, and individuals living with health and mental health challenges.
It is a privilege to support an award that celebrates visionary leaders who challenge convention, reimagine systems, and carve new pathways for communities to thrive. This year’s finalists – Learn, Develop, Succeed, Smart Investments, and BUNYAAD Public Affairs – are bold and brilliant examples of what is possible when equity is foundational.
Choosing a winner was incredibly challenging, as each finalist brings forward innovative, values-driven practices that support inclusion and transformation.
We are proud to announce that the 2025 Excellence in Equity award winner is BUNYAAD Public Affairs! BUNYAAD is a women-led, Indigenous-led social enterprise committed to advancing systemic change. Their work, rooted in values and guided by lived experience, empowers governments, schools, healthcare systems, and more to co-create solutions that build healthier, more inclusive communities.
Congratulations to BUNYAAD Public Affairs and all the finalists. Together, we are collectively shaping a brighter, more equitable future.
