New Temporary Public Policy In Response to the Situation in Iran

In response to new immigration measures for Iranians published by the federal government on February 27, 2023, Impact North Shore is hosting information sessions regarding the new temporary policy.

Canada has introduced new measures to support Iranian temporary residents in Canada as well as Canadian citizens and permanent residents living in Iran:

  • Iranian temporary residents in Canada are now eligible to apply for an extension of their current permit or can change their status and apply for a Visitor Visa, Work or Study permit, free of charge.
  • Canadian citizens and permanent residents living in Iran are now getting priority to apply for a limited-validity Canadian passport, Canadian citizenship certificate, or permanent resident travel document.
