Join us in a time of learning and sharing as our guest speaker Xwalacktun (Rick Harry) explores Indigenous themes of family, relationships and belonging.
Xwalacktun (Rick Harry) carries with him the rich ancestries of his father (Squamish Nation) and mother (Kwakwakw’wakw Nation), of the Coast Salish clans. He is a Squamish Nation artist whose work is internationally recognized.
In this workshop:
- Explore Indigenous ways of belonging
- Learn about Indigenous relationships to family, land and community, and how they are deeply valued
- Hear how these relationships are honoured and communicated through his art
