A unique opportunity to explore the traditional and rich history of Stanley Park
Stanley Park has long been viewed as the jewel of Vancouver. It has a rich history, used by Indigenous People for thousands of years before being designated a public park, and is located on the traditional territory of Coast Salish First Nations.
We are pleased to welcome Dallas Guss, a member of the Squamish Nation, as he leads us on a traditional walking tour. Gain a better understanding of First Nations history. Participate in active learning during question and answer time.
On this walking tour, you will:
- Visit locations of traditional significance
- Learn about the rich, Indigenous history attached to the park
- Gain a new appreciation and deeper understanding of the history of Stanley Park
Tour will begin outside of the Aquarium. We will meet in front of the Aquarium at 12:45 pm, at the whale sculpture: Chief of the Undersea.
