#StepUpNorthShore: North Shore Racism Response Protocol

The #STEPUpNorthShore campaign was launched with the clear goal of connecting the community to Step Up together. Powered by the North Shore Racism Response Protocol and through the various campaign components, the message has successfully reached a wide audience, sparking conversations and inspiring action. This campaign is built around the four key sections of the Protocol: Safety & Prevention, Taking Charge, Event Documentation & Reporting, and Providing Care to provide information, education, and tools to appropriately respond to, report on, and support victims of a range of race and hate-based incidents.

The campaign’s website serves as a hub of resources and information, providing community members with the tools they need to address racism in their daily lives. This multilingual, multimedia campaign, including videos, public education initiatives, and community engagements, has not only raised awareness but also empowered individuals to safely intervene during incidents of racism, fostering a more inclusive and united community.
